The festival of baseball is here, and it's loaded with the best in the world. This WBC is the 5th one in the history of the tournament. Let's quickly recap the last four champions of the World Baseball Classic. In 2006 Japan took home the inaugural World Baseball Classic against Cuba with a 10-6 win. In 2009 Japan won their second in a row against South Korea in a 5-3 win in 10 innings. In 2013 the Dominican Republic won 3-0 against Puerto Rico to get their first and only WBC title. In 2017 the United States won its first title against Puerto Rico 8-0 after they were ranked in 7th place to win the tournament.
